What is Recovery-as-Code?

Recovery-as-Code enables you to automate your recovery processes by defining them as code. With Recovery-as-Code, you can define your recovery processes as code using a simple and intuitive YAML syntax. Cloud application environments are dynamic, distributed and auto-scaled. Complexity of these environments and the pace of change of cloud infrastructure and services make it very difficult to do it manually. Appranix platform automatically writes RaC at a point-in-time using the Cloud Time Machine data and executes it automatically in case of a disaster so humans do not have to do it. This helps you achieve a much lower RTO than what was possible before.
